John C. Shevlin

John C. Shevlin joined Schlecht, Shevlin & Shoenberger, A Law Corporation, in 1971.  Mr. Shevlin is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law, and devotes a significant portion of his practice to civil litigation, real estate, and general business law.

Mr. Shevlin was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1969.  Prior to joining the firm, he served as an attorney for the Fourth District Court of Appeal, Division Two, seated in San Bernardino.  Mr. Shevlin is an honors graduate with a degree in History from Dartmouth College.  He was awarded his Bachelor of Laws degree from Stanford University School of Law.

Mr. Shevlin is a member of the Desert Bar Association, the Riverside County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.  He has served as a Judge Pro Tempore of the Riverside County Superior Court, and is active in a number of community affairs.  Mr. Shevlin is a former Director and President of the Palm Springs Public Library, a Director and former President of Friends of the Palm Springs Library, Director of the Desert Hospital Foundation, President and a Director of the Palm Springs Community Concert Association, and a Member of the Palm Springs Rotary Club.
